1. Preparation Before Calibration

Before formally calibrating your digital weighing machine, you need to figure out the correlation coefficients and characteristics of the weighing device. For example, you need to determine its maximum value and the required accuracy range, and even need to pre-arrange the remedy after the calibration fails. Usually, you need to calibrate the entire measurement range and calibrate the position of the instrument to ensure that there are enough weights for the calibration procedure. Besides, you should turn on the weighing instrument 30 minutes before calibration and the temperature of the weight should be stable at the same temperature as the calibration.

Digital weighing scales should be in a horizontal position, especially for small and accurate weighing instruments. By placing the weight close to the maximum range of the instrument, some prediction tests are carried out to ensure the normal operation of the instrument. If the calibration of the weighing instrument fails and the corresponding adjustment is made, you should calibrate the electronic weighing machine as it is before and after the adjustment.

2. Eccentricity Test

Many people find that when using electronic weighing scales, they cannot always guarantee that the objects to be weighed will be perfectly placed in the middle of the scale. Some smart weight scales will also produce some deviations in the results. Therefore, in order to know the influence of the placement position on the weighing result during weighing, we need to test the eccentricity.

In the eccentricity test, the reference load is placed at several different designated positions on the load receiver. First, place the load in the center of the load receiver (the center of gravity of the load) and observe the results. Next, the load can be placed in four different sectors of the load receiver.

3. Repeatability Test

Like other instruments, kitchen weighing scales may have repeatability problems, which means that the results are not always exactly the same when the same load is measured multiple times. The repeatability test is carried out by changing the position of the load on the receiver several times. Of course, the test should be carried out under the same and constant conditions and the same treatment method should be adopted.

4. Weighing Test

The purpose of the weighing test is to test the accuracy of Weighing equipment like the food weight scale in the whole range in several steps under the condition of weight increase and decrease.

In some cases, only increasing or decreasing the load can be used to calibrate the body weight machine. Generally speaking, 5 to 10 different loads (test points) are used in the experiment and the maximum load should be close to the maximum load of the portable electronic scale, while the minimum test load can be 10% of the maximum load or the minimum weight usually used.

5. Minimum Weight Test

The minimum weight test is necessary for the pharmaceutical industry. The purpose of minimum weight test is to find the minimum load that can be measured while obtaining reliable measurement results and meeting the accuracy requirements. When the measured value becomes smaller, the relative error of the reading will usually become larger. It should be noted that digital bathroom scales should not be used to measure any load less than the minimum load.

The above calibration scheme for the weighing indicator will largely determine whether you can use it with peace of mind. If you have any questions about the product or quality of the scale, please consult.
