These weighing machines can be programmed to produce parts of various sizes, and can be accelerated or slowed down according to the flow rate of the material. Many electronic floor scales also record the amount of material passing through the machine, allowing operators to pay close attention to flow and quality. They can usually access these records through a detailed but intuitive user interface.

 

In addition to being built into the conveyor belt, some scales can also be directly integrated into the conveyor belt through equipment. This technology can directly weigh the products and check the quality when they are transported. Meat processing plants are a good example. If there are pieces of meat that are heavier and difficult to move, this type of scale technology can connect a series of hooks to an automatic rail system so that they can inspect the product as it moves to further processing.

 

These High-precision electronic scales and reliable floor scales play an important role in material processing, so accuracy must be kept in mind when designing. Because this is very important for product safety, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has developed several regulations regarding the manufacture of these weighing scales. NIST states that these tools must maintain a margin of error of ten percent or less. This ensures consistent performance throughout the processing plant.
